What this site collects, what we do with what you send us, and how to have it deleted.
This site sets no cookies, follows no one from site to site and keeps no mailing list. What you send us is kept for the work and deleted when you ask. Everything else on this page is set out below.
This website
The site has no contact form, no newsletter signup and no advertising, and it sets no cookies. To count visits and see how quickly pages load, it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, our host's own measurement: a small script from Cloudflare notes the page, the site that sent you, your browser, device type and country, and the load times, without cookies and without identifying you or following you to other sites. Most of the typefaces, those of the subheadings and of the running text on most pages, are served by Adobe Fonts, so each page asks Adobe's servers for them and Adobe counts the page view for the fonts' licence. Everything else, the remaining typefaces and the stylesheet included, is served from this domain, apart from that script and the booking page for calls, set out below.
Our host keeps standard server logs, including the address your request came from, for security and for counting traffic. We do not join those logs to anything else.
If you write to us
Email sent to us is kept in our mail system so that we can reply and keep a record of what was agreed. We do not add you to a mailing list, and there is nothing to unsubscribe from.
If you book a call
"Schedule a call", at the foot of every page, opens our booking page on Google Calendar. Nothing from Google loads until you press it. When you book, Google receives the name, email address and any note you give, holds them under its own privacy policy, and sends you and us the invitation with the Google Meet link. We keep the booking in our calendar with our correspondence, and delete it when you ask, as below.
What clients send us
Work for a client involves their documents, drafts and, where they use Trace, the archive of what they saved. That material is private to the client, held for the work, and not used for anyone else. The Trace page sets out how the archive is stored, that it is exportable in full at any time, and that the client keeps it if they stop working with us. We do not train models on client material and we do not pool it across clients.
Deletion
Write to [email protected] and ask, and we will delete what we hold and confirm in writing what was deleted. Where we are required to keep a record of an engagement, we say which part we are keeping and why.
